The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all campus student mental health and wellness programs, promoting a culture of psychological resilience and thriving, and ensuring accessible, integrated care. This role involves strategic leadership, supervision of a large team, and collaboration across divisions to embed mental health and well-being principles into all aspects of campus life. The AVP/CWO will also maintain a limited clinical practice to stay proficient in direct service and model the highest clinical standards. Applicants must have a PhD, PsyD, or MD with current certification in psychiatry, and at least 10 years' of experience in mental health services, health promotion, or student mental health administration. The role requires expertise in evidence-based mental health care, the ability to build cross-campus coalitions, and a strong understanding of culturally responsive and trauma-informed care. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading integrated well-being initiatives, relevant business management experience, and a history of successful support and advocacy for students. Responsibilities also include crisis response coordination, maintaining external partnerships, and serving as a thought leader in the field of student mental health and well-being.
