Job Description
Overview Must be at least 16 years old. No experience required. Must be able to successfully pass a background check. Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Teacher Aide (Child Care Assistant), where your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. In this role, you will support lead teachers in implementing engaging lesson plans, managing classroom activities, and fostering positive development in children. Whether working with toddlers, preschoolers, or children with special needs, your contribution will be vital in promoting growth, curiosity, and a love for learning from the very start. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in developing and executing age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math skills, and curriculum development strategies. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and implementing behavior management techniques to create a safe, respectful environment. Engage with children during activities, providing individualized attention to support early childhood education and childhood development milestones. Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that promotes safety and encourages learning through play and exploration. Collaborate with staff to adapt instructional materials for children with disabilities or those requiring special education accommodations, including working with individuals with autism. Support daycare routines such as snack time, nap time, diapering or potty training, and outdoor play to ensure comprehensive care for all children. Communicate effectively with parents and team members about children's progress and any behavioral or developmental concerns. Requirements Prior experience working with children in classroom settings, daycare centers, or private schools is highly preferred. Knowledge of early childhood education principles, including Montessori or preschool methodologies. Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs such as autism is a plus. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and children. Ability to support lesson planning focused on literacy education, math skills, and curriculum development tailored to young learners’ needs. Demonstrated commitment to child safety and well-being through attentive caregiving practices.
