Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Child Psychiatrist to join our telehealth team, providing vital mental health services to children and adolescents across diverse communities. This role offers the opportunity to deliver comprehensive psychiatric care remotely, utilizing innovative telehealth technology to connect with young patients in need of support. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for working with children, a deep understanding of pediatric psychiatry, and experience in various therapeutic modalities. Responsibilities Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for children and adolescents via secure telehealth platforms. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating medication management, psychotherapy, and behavioral interventions. Provide evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and trauma-informed care tailored to pediatric patients. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care and support ongoing treatment goals. Monitor patient progress through regular follow-ups, adjusting treatment strategies as needed while maintaining detailed medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage urgent cases by applying crisis management techniques and providing immediate intervention for patients experiencing mental health crises or PTSD symptoms. Stay current with advancements in pediatric psychiatry, psychopharmacology, and telehealth practices to enhance service quality and efficacy. Requirements Medical degree from an accredited institution with board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry with specialization or significant experience in Pediatric Psychiatry. Post-residency experience working with children and adolescents in outpatient or inpatient settings, including hospital experience preferred. Proven expertise in mental health counseling, diagnostic evaluation, psychopharmacology, and crisis management specific to pediatric populations. Strong familiarity with telehealth platforms, electronic medical records (EMR), medical documentation standards, and HIPAA compliance. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, Geriatrics knowledge is a plus but not required. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, caregivers, and healthcare teams while demonstrating compassion and professionalism.
