Job Description
Child Care Specialist Bridgeway is a family-owned and operated integrated healthcare provider, and we believe that when we support the families of our team members, we strengthen the entire Bridgeway community.Our childcare program exists to give Bridgeway parents peace of mind while they serve families throughout our clinics and communities.Child Care Specialists at Bridgeway create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for the children of our employees while their parents provide services to families in our clinics.This is an active role that requires patience, organization, and the ability to manage multiple young personalities at once.You will guide play, support learning activities, maintain routines, and ensure children feel safe and supported throughout the day.This is not a passive childcare role.We are not looking for someone who simply turns on a movie and watches the clock.We are looking for someone who is engaged, attentive, playful, and committed to helping children learn and grow.Who You Are You genuinely enjoy working with young children.You can stay calm, organized, and positive in a busy environment.You understand that caring for children requires patience, consistency, and attentiveness.You are playful and engaging while still maintaining structure and safety.You take pride in being dependable and showing up prepared each day.You are a team player who contributes to a positive and supportive environment.What You'll Do Supervise and care for multiple children in a safe and structured environment.Support children through play, learning activities, and daily routines.Assist with basic childcare tasks including meal preparation, snack time, diaper changes, and nap time.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe childcare space.Guide children through activities that support early development and social skills.Communicate respectfully and professionally with Bridgeway staff and leadership.Follow daily schedules and routines to maintain consistency for children.What You Can Expect A supportive workplace rooted in family values Opportunities to work in a positive and energetic environment A role where your care directly supports the families of Bridgeway team members Meaningful work that contributes to the mission of strengthening families Essential Functions:Provide attentive supervision and care for children of Bridgeway employees in a safe, nurturing, and structured environment.Supervise multiple children simultaneously while maintaining awareness of safety, engagement, and developmental needs.Support daily childcare routines including meal and snack preparation, diapering, restroom assistance, and nap time.Lead age-appropriate learning and play activities that support social, emotional, and early developmental growth.Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary childcare environment by following established cleaning and sanitation procedures.Monitor children's behavior and respond appropriately to ensure safety, emotional regulation, and respectful interactions among children.Communicate professionally and respectfully with Bridgeway employees regarding their children's needs, routines, and any concerns.Follow established childcare schedules, procedures, and Bridgeway policies to ensure consistency and reliability in the childcare environment.Collaborate with childcare team members to maintain a positive, supportive, and team-oriented work environment.Demonstrate professionalism, patience, and reliability while representing Bridgeway's mission and values in daily interactions.Requirements:Ability to pass a Background Check.Current driver's license and reliable transportation to be able to transport children to community outings Ability to supervise and care for up to six children simultaneously.Strong multitasking ability, including supervising play, assisting with meals, diaper changes, and nap routines.Ability to lead simple learning and play-based activities.Ability to maintain a clean and organized childcare environment.Reliable availability Monday-Friday, 7 AM - 7:30 PM.Ability to work a minimum of 21 hours a week with three evening sessions per week (4-7 pm) unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.This is also based on center needs and availability.Speak, write, read and/or communicate fluently in the English language.Ability to type (or verbally dictate and edit) to write daily documentation in accordance with quality standards and policies and procedures.Physical Requirements:Due to the active and physical nature of this position, there are vision and physical requirements that must be met in order to effectively function in this position.Such a response may require a level of agility, quick reflex, and the ability to physically protect themselves and the child from harm and to retrieve the child in the case of elopement.Accordingly, a child care specialist must meet the following additional requirements:Strength and mobility requirements include being able to perform a variety of p
