Job Description
Overview Join our dedicated team as a Childcare Substitute and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children by providing safe, nurturing, and engaging care. In this role, you will step into classrooms or care settings to support early childhood development, assist with daily activities, and ensure a positive environment for young learners. Your energetic and compassionate approach will help foster growth, curiosity, and confidence in children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to early childhood education while gaining valuable classroom experience. Duties Provide attentive supervision and care for children during classroom activities, playtime, meals, nap times, and transitions. Support teachers and caregivers by assisting with lesson implementation, classroom management, and behavior guidance. Ensure the safety of all children by following established safety protocols and conducting regular environment checks. Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote social-emotional development, creativity, and learning. Assist with diapering, feeding, and basic health needs for infants and toddlers while maintaining hygiene standards. Communicate effectively with children to foster positive relationships and encourage participation in activities. Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning and play. Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus. Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies. Certification in first aid and CPR is desirable; ongoing training in child safety is encouraged. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team while also independently managing responsibilities.
