Chip Runner Primary Function Responsible for exchanging chips for cash at the gaming table for guests and provide assistance to the Game Attendant in alignment with the mission and core values of the company.Essential Responsibilities All job duties are to be performed in accordance with Company Policies & Procedures and any other legal regulations and requirements.Essential responsibilities include the following.Additional duties may be assigned at a future date.Responsible for exchanging cash for chips or chips for chips at the gaming table for guests and or Dealers and to execute accurately and efficiently the transactions involving by following proper departmental procedures.Record cash purchases of $1,000 or more on the Player Tracking Log (PTL) and alert the Cashier, Game Attendant, or Board Person regarding cash-in transactions of $2,500 or more conducted on the gaming floor.These will be entered into the Multiple Transaction Log (MTL) on the Casino Tracking System (CTS).Report any suspicious activity observed to the Game Attendant.Responsible for operating and maintaining an accurate Chip Runner impress assigned at the beginning of each shift according to department procedures.Assist Dealers with the exchanging of chips for cash, or chips for chips to keep an accurate balance in the Dealer's trays.Responsible for promoting and keeping up-to-date knowledge of all active promotions, cash games and tournaments in the Casino.Report to Casino Shift Manager (CSM) or Security any individuals in the casino who appear to be underage, intoxicated, whose conduct appears to be illegal, or who poses a threat to the Company's operations.Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education and/or Experience:High school diploma or GED is required.A minimum of 1 year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred, but not required.Language Skills:Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills are required.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or team members of organization.Mathematical Skills:Basic math skills.Ability to accurately calculate addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in an efficient manner.Reasoning Ability:The ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Conditions of Employment This job has conditions of employment essential to the position that include:Must be able successfully pass a thorough background check from the City in order to obtain a Gaming License Must be able to renew and maintain an active Gaming License according to the city's requirements Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be:Standing and Sitting:Specific demands for standing and sitting on this job:Frequently required to stand.Occasionally required to sit.Walking and Reaching:Specific demands for walking and reaching on this job:Frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms Climb, Balance, Crawl:Specific demands for this job:The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Dexterity and Sense of Touch:Specific demands for sense of touch and dexterity on this job:Frequently required to use hand to finger movements, handle, or feel; Lifting:Specific demands for lifting on this job:Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds Vision:Specific vision abilities required by this job:Close vision Distance Vision Peripheral Vision Depth perception Ability to adjust focus Verbal and Auditory Demands:Specific talking and vision abilities required by this job:Must be able to talk and hear.
