CHMC - MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST TEAM LEAD INTERNAL Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center CHMC LAB Ogdensburg, NY Allied Health Professional Full Time, day shift, 7a-3p Posted 05/08/2026 Req # 9426 CHMC– Lab- Medical Technologist Team Lead – Full Time Day Shift - Requisition 9426 Pay Range: $44.64-$58.75* We are seeking a leadership-oriented Medical Technologist Team Lead to oversee specialized laboratory operations. In this role, you will combine advanced clinical analysis with supervisory duties, ensuring our laboratory maintains the highest standards of accuracy, quality control, and personnel competency. Key Responsibilities Clinical Analysis: Perform complex and specialized specimen analysis, evaluating abnormal results and ensuring all testing aligns with established methodologies. Technical Oversight: Set up and monitor quality control protocols and lead quality assurance activities to ensure the integrity of laboratory data. Leadership & Training: Train and assess the competency of MTs, MLTs, and Specimen Processors; coordinate daily assignments and manage workflow priorities. Equipment Management: Operate and maintain sophisticated laboratory instrumentation to ensure peak performance and minimal downtime. Clinical Support: Assist in the phlebotomy department as needed, performing venipuncture across all patient populations using appropriate collection methods. Project Management: Independently plan assignments, develop new techniques, and collaborate with the Laboratory Manager to address potential operational challenges. Qualifications & Requirements Licensure: Current New York State license as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist with a valid Registration Certificate. Experience: * Minimum of four (4) years of clinical laboratory experience within the last ten years. At least two (2) years of experience specifically in the section you will oversee. Certification: Current BLS certification required. Education: Degree from an accredited Clinical Laboratory Science program (as required for NYS licensure). Skills & Attributes Independence: Proven ability to plan and carry out complex assignments with minimal supervision. Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for training staff and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams. Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of laboratory quality control, maintenance, and regulatory compliance. Attention to Detail: Commitment to maintaining meticulous records and ensuring absolute accuracy in test performance. The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future.
