Job Description
The Jackson County Public Library is taking applications for one permanent part-time library assistant at the Check Out Desks.Minimum requirements include a high school diploma and technology skills.Prior customer service experience a plus! Possible scheduled hours for an average of 28 hours per week is: Monday 1 pm - 7 pm (6 hours) Tuesday 11:30 am - 6 pm (Medora - 6.5 hours) Thursday 10- 7 pm (8 hours) Friday 10 am - 6 pm (7.5 hours) Every other Saturday 9 am - 1:30 pm (4.5 hours) Duties include assisting customers, computer data entry, opening and closing duties, and various clerical assignments at the Seymour, Crothersville and Medora libraries.Salary:$15.50 hr.Immediate paid holidays if scheduled.Pro-rated vacation, personal, and sick days after six months.Applications are available at all library checkout desk and online at www.myjclibrary.org/employment.Applications can be returned to the checkout desk.Library application MUST be filled out to qualify for an interview.Open until filled.Job Type:Part-time Pay:$15.50 per hour Benefits:Paid time off Work Location:In person.
