If delivering outstanding customer service makes your day, you might be the perfect fit.This is a part-time opportunity averaging 18 hours per week, with a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, and Saturdays.Get ready to make a difference and grow with us! Responsibilities Be the face of the Library! Deliver outstanding service while staffing the Circulation Desk for most of your scheduled hours (75-100%). Keep the library moving -- check materials in and out, issue library cards, collect fines, and manage renewals, and shelve materials. Master our circulation systems to handle every transaction quickly, accurately, and efficiently. Be a go-to resource for our patrons by solving routine problems, answering questions, and making sure every visitor leaves with a great experience.Necessary Knowledge Ability to quickly learn and navigate computerized circulation systems. Strong customer service skills with professionalism, courtesy, and discretion. Basic proficiency with a mouse, keyboard, and phone operations. Ability to operate a cash register and handle cash transactions accurately. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, bend, reach, stoop, lift up to 20 pounds, and access library materials.Qualifications Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to scheduling needs. High school diploma or equivalent required. Strong customer service skills essential. Previous library experience preferred. Spanish language skills a plus.
