The Demolition Superintendent is a key leader within Fiore & Sons, responsible for overseeing and executing complex demolition projects from planning through completion.This role directs all on-site operations, including crews, equipment, subcontractors, permitting, and daily field activities, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project goals.The Demolition Superintendent is accountable for driving project performance across safety, quality, schedule, and profitability while navigating the unique challenges of demolition work such as sequencing, structural considerations, environmental controls, and coordination with adjacent operations.This leader also plays a critical role in developing field personnel, fostering a strong safety culture, and building high-performing teams that deliver consistent, successful outcomes.TOTAL COMPENSATION $108,000.00 to $193,500.00 annually ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Obtain and implement deep working knowledge of assigned projects, including specifications, scope requirements, and contingencies.Organize and schedule personnel and equipment allocation for multiple crews and sites.Perform construction activities including, but not limited to, preparation (including calling for locates), operation and closing of job site, and proper testing and QC of work completed.Assess situations to determine the importance, urgency, and risks, and make clear decisions which are timely and in the best interests of the organization.Proactively address, problem-solve, and resolve potential project issues.Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget, and in accordance with specification, including intended design, quality, and safety standards.Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards and specification, utilizing soft leadership skills to navigate needed changes or potential problems with those in charge of the day-to-day operations of the project.Ensure that each subcontractor complies with project specifications.Ensure crew and subcontractor clean-up occurs on a daily and weekly basis.Manage risks on the job site, including complying with all regulations and company guidelines around Safety, HR, Finance, and Operations, among others.Ensure that all business is conducted using the highest ethical standards and in compliance with all applicable laws, statutes, and regulations as well as Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Provide leadership and establish and maintain effective and professional working relationships among all operating units, trades, vendors, and subcontractors.Lead team, foremen, and division providing support, training, coaching, mentorship, and development for team members.Ensure accessibility for questions and concerns and problem-solve personnel needs and challenges.Assist in administrative functions including, but not limited to, interviews, hiring, and coaching and discipline of personnel.Examine contract drawings, specifications and addenda for design deficiencies, impractical details, and possible code violations, and bring these to the attention of the Project Manager or project owner to determine improvement needs or RFIs.Identify project OSHA and safety requirements or concerns and take corrective actions.Remain alert to and aware of potential efficiency improvements on the job site in order to recommend potential enhancements to productivity.Develop, maintain, and complete accurate project progress and activity reports on a daily and weekly basis.Monitor costs and assist Project Managers in updating projections, reporting to Senior Management as needed.Lead and manage Demolition projects and work sites in the separation and/or demolition of multi-story buildings using equipment such as high-reach excavators, grapples, processing equipment, torches, etc.Perform other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Superior EQ with exceptional communication and enhanced leadership skills, including:Ability to inspire project efficiency and quality without explicit empowerment.Ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers on multiple platforms and at all levels while remaining professional, supportive, and empathetic.Ability to develop partnerships with vendors, inspectors, and other stakeholders, to inspire cooperation and boost project efficiency even in areas outs
