Job Description
Job Overview We are looking for a detail-oriented Civil Engineer, licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in South Carolina, to join our team on a part-time, or remote basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to an assortment of commercial and residential projects we have planned in Spartanburg, Greenville and Anderson County. As the key member of our project teams, you will leverage your expertise to manage project design, planning, permitting and execution while enjoying flexible working arrangements. Your technical skills and proactive approach will help drive innovative solutions and ensure project success from afar. Duties Lead and coordinate civil engineering design efforts using current CAD tools to produce accurate schematics, system designs, and construction drawings. Prepare detailed drawings needed for permitting, estimating and construction of your designs Conduct or review construction inspections to verify compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and quality control measures. Develop technical reports and documentation through precise technical writing to support project proposals, progress updates, and regulatory submissions. Support project engineering activities by coordinating with stakeholders, reviewing schematics, and ensuring adherence to project scope and timelines. Skills Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation for drafting and modeling civil infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of project scheduling software and techniques to manage timelines effectively. Experience with construction management practices including construction inspection and site supervision remotely or on-site as needed. Familiarity with GIS platforms such as ArcGIS for spatial analysis related to land surveying and environmental projects. Ability to perform accurate construction estimating using industry-standard methods. Knowledge of hydraulic systems design using HEC-RAS or SWMM modeling tools for floodplain management or stormwater systems. Expertise in geotechnical engineering principles applicable to foundation design and soil analysis. Skilled in technical writing for reports, proposals, schematics documentation, and regulatory compliance submissions. Experience with drafting tools such as CAD software for creating detailed schematics and system layouts. Ability to apply land surveying techniques accurately in support of civil infrastructure projects.
