Civil Engineering Technician

TGI Engineering and Consulting is looking for a Civil Engineering Technician to join our Houston, TX office.TGI is a civil, geotechnical, structural engineering firm with projects in Houston, Dallas and San Antonio.We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can multitask several responsibilities including drafting, inspection, and testing.Responsibilities:1) Perform inspections of civil, structural, and geotechnical projects, 2) Assist with Autocad and laboratory testing, 3) Maintain records and respond to customer requests in a timely manner, 4) Read plans and do quantity take-offs, if and when necessary, 5) Prepare and submit reports to project managers, and 6) Maintain, validate and calibrate equipment.Qualifications:1) Ability to work independently, 2) Working knowledge of AutoCAD, 3) Ability to read and understand Civil Engineering Plans, and 4) College degree in Civil Engineering.Additional Requirements:1) Willingness to travel and be away from home for 1 to 2 nights per week, and 2) Clean driving records.Job Type:Full-time Pay:$40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year Work Location:In person.
