About the Opportunity Mazoogi is working with an established civil litigation firm with a long-standing presence across New York State seeking a Civil Litigation Associate to join its team. The firm handles a broad range of matters including general liability, personal injury, insurance defense, and select plaintiff-side litigation. Attorneys are given hands-on responsibility and consistent exposure to depositions, motion practice, and courtroom proceedings, with a clear path for growth over time. What You'll Do Handle civil litigation matters from inception through resolution Draft pleadings, discovery, and substantive motions Take and defend depositions as part of your regular workflow Attend court appearances, conferences, and motion arguments Assist with trial preparation and support active litigation matters Communicate directly with clients, insurance carriers, and claims professionals Qualifications 1–8 years of post-bar civil litigation experience Experience in insurance defense, personal injury, or general civil litigation Transferable courtroom experience (e.g., DA, public defender, or government litigation) is also considered Deposition experience preferred (not required for more junior candidates) Strong legal writing skills Admitted to practice in New York Compensation Base Salary: $105,000 – $150,000 Performance-based bonuses Total compensation up to ~$150K+ depending on experience Why This Role?
