Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Class A CDL Driver for local routes to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will operate tractor-trailers and various specialized trucks to deliver freight efficiently and safely within the local area. Your expertise in driving different types of trucks, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks, will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties Safely operate Class A commercial motor vehicles, including manual transmission trucks, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks for local deliveries. Load and unload freight using forklifts or manual methods, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, mechanical condition, and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Drive route-specific deliveries efficiently while adhering to scheduled timelines and traffic laws. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle inspection reports. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status, route adjustments, or any issues encountered during trips. Assist with yard duties such as trailer swaps or repositioning trucks as needed to support operational flow. Qualifications Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record. Experience operating tractor-trailers with manual transmissions preferred. Proven truck driving experience in freight delivery, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or dump trucks. Ability to load & unload freight manually or using equipment such as forklifts; forklift certification is a plus. Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures for commercial driving. Strong route-driving skills with a focus on efficiency and safety in local settings. Physical ability to perform load securement tasks and handle freight safely.
