180 workday calendar 7.5 hrs. per day JOB DESCRIPTION Educational Aide This position will provide a full-time Educational Aide for Pleasant Grove Independent School District. This employee must: be a high school graduate or hold a GED certificate; have two years of experience as an Educational Aide; or a minimum of 15 semester hours of college credit with some emphasis on child growth and development or similar background; or have demonstrated proficiency in a specialized skill area as determined by the local school district; have experience related to working with students or parents as approved by the employing Superintendent; and be recommended by the employing Superintendent. The aide shall have knowledge, skills, abilities, and attitudes of the following nature: ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; to communicate and work with students, teachers, school administrators and the public; to maintain records; to maintain effective working relationship with other auxiliary personnel, teachers, school administrators, and the public; and have a positive and cooperative attitude toward the duties of the aide, the school, the staff, and the students. ________________ is presently employed in the above described position.
