About us The J.U.Kevil Memorial Foundation is hiring for a Full-Time Clerk at our Kevil Korner Thrift Store.Kevil Korner Thrift Store is a small, local business located in Mayfield, KY.You will be part of a rewarding team with opportunity for advancement.A family-oriented atmosphere and dedicated team that serves individuals with disabilities in the Western Kentucky Community.Our Mission:Our goal is to provide quality programs and services to persons who have physical, mental, and/or developmental disabilities in a way that will preserve and promote dignity, independence, self-esteem, and personal growth.We will promote the removal of social, vocational, educational, and environmental barriers which deprive individuals of the opportunity to be self-sufficient and socially integrated into the community.To accomplish these goals we will provide educational opportunities for skill enhancement, employment opportunities within our setting, and employment assistance within our community.The Clerk Candidate will be responsible for:Greeting customers Receiving donations and giving donors a receipt for their tax records Checking all merchandise to make sure it is neat, clean, sized and that it is properly marked and priced as needed and put in it's proper place.Assist in keeping the seasonal displays neat, organized and up to date Maintain cleanliness and neatness of the store Completing sales transaction using a Point of Sale System Work in assigned areas including in the back of the store sorting and organizing donations.Working hours are typically from 8:45 am - 5:15 pm.10 Paid Holidays - New Year's Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Memorial Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Labor Day, Presidential Election Day, Flexible Holiday (typically taken on Good Friday) & Discretionary Holiday.3 paid days off for each of the following:Sick Family, Death in Family, and Weather Related Absence on day one of employment Eligibility for Company Paid Retirement Plan after 1 year of employment Paid Vacation and Sick days after 6 months of employment Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits available Pre-Screen Questions will be sent after resume has been received.Please watch for communication from Employer through Indeed.FOR THIS TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT, STATE LAW REQUIRES A CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK AS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT.
