We are seeking a dynamic and diligent individual to join our team as a Permanent Client Accounting Specialist. This is a key role within our finance department, where you will be responsible for managing and executing the financial operations of our clients in various industries such as oil & gas, construction, manufacturing, and corporations. Responsibilities As a Client Accounting Specialist, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Overseeing and managing the general ledger and conducting account reconciliations. Processing and managing client invoices and ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded. Handling the fixed assets of our clients, including tracking, depreciation, and disposal. Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring they comply with standard accounting principles and company policies. Conducting bank reconciliations and resolving any discrepancies or issues promptly. Collaborating with other finance team members to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data. Identifying opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Providing support during audits and liaising with external auditors as required. Assisting with other accounting projects as needed. Qualifications The ideal candidate for the Client Accounting Specialist role should have: A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the oil & gas, construction, manufacturing, or corporate sectors. Proficiency in general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process. Solid understanding of fixed asset accounting and depreciation. Expertise in preparing financial statements and conducting account and bank reconciliations. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information. Excellent analytical skills with an ability to research, analyze and interpret complex financial data. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to effectively communicate complex financial information. Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite. A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills.
