Client Advisor — Shop The Sample Range: $25-$35/Hr plus 3%-5% Commission + Live Selling @ 5% We’re seeking an energetic and motivated Client Advisor to join our team at Shop The Sample, a luxury fashion sample sale destination with a flagship Melrose location in West LA and a growing ecommerce presence. In this role, you’ll be the face of the brand for our clients — providing exceptional service while driving luxury sales and building lasting relationships with shoppers who love discovering designer pieces at sample sale prices. Your passion for fashion, combined with strong communication skills and a hospitality-driven mindset, will help you thrive in our fast-paced, high-energy environment. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to grow with a fast-scaling luxury retail business, work across both in-store and digital channels, and contribute directly to the growth of one of LA’s most exciting sample sale concepts. Duties Engage prospective and returning clients on the sales floor at our Melrose location, as well as through phone, text, and digital channels, to drive sales and build a loyal client book. Develop and maintain a strong client pipeline by identifying VIP shoppers, nurturing relationships, and proactively following up on inventory drops, restocks, and new designer arrivals. Conduct personalized styling consultations, presenting Brunello Cucinelli, Loro Piana, and other luxury inventory tailored to each client’s taste, sizing, and wardrobe needs. Utilize Shopify POS, Klaviyo, Attentive, and Gorgias to track client interactions, manage outreach campaigns, and keep customer profiles and inventory information accurate. Support store operations including inventory intake, tagging, merchandising, fitting room management, and maintaining the visual standards of the Melrose space. Upsell and cross-sell across categories to maximize basket size while keeping the experience consultative — never pushy — and centered on the client. Participate in live selling sessions, in-store events, content shoots, and UGC moments that build brand awareness and convert across our social and ecommerce channels. Skills Proven experience in luxury retail, high-end fashion, or hospitality sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and building a personal client book. Strong styling instincts and product knowledge across luxury designers; familiarity with brands like Brunello Cucinelli, Loro Piana, The Row, Khaite, or similar is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills; bilingual proficiency (Spanish, Mandarin, Farsi, Russian, or Arabic) is a plus given our LA clientele. Familiarity with Shopify POS, CRM and email/SMS platforms (Klaviyo, Attentive), and basic retail math (margin, sell-through, AOV). Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple clients, restocks, and priorities during high-volume sale events. Outstanding customer service instincts paired with professional phone, text, and DM etiquette. Comfort on camera and enthusiasm for participating in live selling, content creation, and in-store events that enhance client engagement.
