Client Navigator Exodus Project - Society of St.Vincent de Paul Sacramento1001 G Street, Sacramento, CA About Exodus Project Exodus Project supports individuals returning to the community after incarceration by providing case management, counseling, housing navigation, employment support, and behavioral health connections.Our work is grounded in dignity, cultural humility, and meeting people where they are during moments of transition.Many members of our staff have lived experience with incarceration.Applicants with lived experience of incarceration, reentry, or homelessness are strongly encouraged to apply.Position Summary The Client Navigator serves as a welcoming and supportive presence for individuals seeking services at the Exodus Project office.This role helps clients locate the office, navigate the building, and access support while helping maintain a calm and respectful environment for visitors.The Client Navigator plays an important role in helping clients feel oriented and supported when they arrive for services and assists staff in maintaining organized client flow.Key Responsibilities Greet and assist individuals entering the building who may be seeking Exodus Project services Help clients locate the office and navigate the building Provide directions to nearby transportation options, including light rail and bus routes Assist with managing client flow and notifying staff when clients arrive for appointments Support front desk operations during breaks or lunch coverage Provide basic information about available services and connect individuals with appropriate staff Distribute supplies or resource materials as directed by program staff Maintain a welcoming and respectful environment in the office and surrounding areas Assist with de-escalation and notify staff when additional support is needed Transport clients to services or appointments when authorized Follow organizational policies and safety procedures Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent Valid California driver's license Ability to be insured under the organization's vehicle insurance policy Preferred Lived experience with reentry or deep understanding of challenges faced by individuals returning from incarceration Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness Experience working or volunteering in nonprofit or community-based services Skills and Abilities Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging or high-stress situations De-escalation and supportive engagement skills Commitment to dignity-based and people-centered services Ability to work independently while remaining connected to a team Schedule Full-timeMonday - Friday8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Compensation $20 - $23 per hour How to Apply Please submit a cover letter and resume to:Andrew Winnandrew@svdp-sacramento.org Equal Opportunity Employer Exodus Project does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, ethnicity, culture, national origin, sexual orientation, disability, age, gender, or gender expression.Pay:$20.00 - $23.00 per hour Benefits:Dental insurance Employee discount Health insurance Paid sick time Vision insurance People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Work Location:In person.
