Posting Details Position Details Title Clinical Assistant/Associate/Professor - Acute Care Surgery Specific Title Appointment Type Clinical Track Faculty Department IUSM - Surgery - Trauma Surgery Campus IU School of Medicine Indianapolis Position Summary The Indiana University School of Medicine's Acute Care Surgery Division is actively seeking a highly qualified surgeon with fellowship training in Surgical Critical Care or Acute Care Surgery. The candidate must be board certified/eligible in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a leading academic hospital and quaternary care center in the state of Indiana and region. Institutional Highlights: Slated for the 4th Quarter of 2027, a new $4.3 billion dollar Indiana University Health Hospital and Academic Health Center will be opening. The hospital will have the flexibility to accommodate 864 beds with roughly 1/3 of inpatient beds dedicated to critical care, with others designed to adjust up or down based on the needs of the patient. The Medical Education and Research Building will be equipped with the classrooms, labs, technology, and expertise to uncover answers to medicines most challenging problems.
