Description Job Title:Clinical Care Coordinator Location: ECPC Pain Specialists – Wake offices (remote position) Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt Department: Administrative – ECPC Pain Specialists Wake offices Reports To: Dr. Keogh, Dr. Avila, Katie and Alanna (Leadership Team) Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM; Wednesdays 7 am – 3:30 pm; Fridays 7:30 am – 4:30 pm Position Summary At ECPC Pain Specialists Wake offices, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care guided by our core values of compassion, integrity, and teamwork. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and patient-focused Clinical Care Coordinator to join our administrative team at ECPC Pain Specialists – Wake offices. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring patients receive timely and appropriate care by managing prior authorizations for all procedures and imaging as well as conducting insurance verifications. He/she will obtain referrals for visits and help with new patient intake as needed. The ideal candidate will have a positive, upbeat personality and support our team in fostering a welcoming and efficient environment for patients and staff alike. Key Responsibilities Obtain, review, and submit prior authorizations for diagnostic imaging (including MRIs), in-office and outpatient pain procedures. Obtain referrals for visits and help with new patient intake as needed. Verify insurance coverage and eligibility, including Medicare and Medicaid, and interpret benefit information for both patients and staff. Providecourteous and professional phone and digital communication with patients regarding authorizations, benefits, and billing inquiries. Navigate and utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems (eClinicalWorks) to accurately document and retrieve insurance and patient information. Work with our billing company to handle appeals and denials processes with insurance providers, demonstrating persistence and advocacy for patient care. Assist with general office support, answering phones, assisting with billing inquiries, and other administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications Education & Experience: Highschool diploma or equivalent required Minimumof 1 year experience in medical office procedure prior authorizations, referrals and insurance verifications. Experiencein pain management or a specialty practice is strongly preferred. At least 1 year of hands-on experience using EMR systems. Strongworking knowledge of medical terminology, CPT codes, and various insurance plans. Required Skills & Attributes: Demonstratescompassion and professionalism in all patient and team interactions. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Workis performed in a remote setting for a clinical office. Frequentinteraction with physicians, clinical staff, and administrative team members. Mustbe able to manage routine interruptions and shift priorities as needed. Mustbe able to physically work on computer for eight hours per day.
