Job Description
Position requires a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, eligibility to begin the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) under ASHA supervision, and eligible for state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a school setting located in Norfolk, VA. This role is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathologist currently completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or an experienced SLP with school-based practice expertise. Key Responsibilities Conduct speech and language assessments for students to identify communication disorders Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educators and families Monitor student progress and adjust therapy goals accordingly Provide direct therapy services to students within the school environment Maintain thorough and timely documentation consistent with school and state guidelines Participate in team meetings and contribute to multi-disciplinary support for students Qualifications/Experience Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current state licensure or certification to practice as an SLP in Virginia Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) completion required if applicable Experience working with school-aged children preferred Knowledge of IDEA and other special education regulations is beneficial Strong communication and collaboration skills Location: Norfolk, VA Benefits Of This Contract Role Gain valuable school-based experience in a supportive environment Opportunity to work with diverse student populations Flexible contract duration to fit your professional goals Collaborative team environment focused on student success This position suits motivated SLPs eager to further develop their clinical skills in a school setting.
