Job Description
A Maryland-based Outpatient Mental Health Clinic (OMHC) is hiring a Clinical Supervisor (LCSW-C) to lead and develop a team of licensed therapists and clinical interns. This is a hybrid role — primarily remote, with one day per week in the office. You'll oversee a focused team of 12–13 clinicians maximum . This is a W-2 position with full benefits, ideal for an LCSW-C who is Maryland Board-Approved as a Supervisor and wants to focus on clinical leadership, team development, and quality care delivery. What You'll Do Provide documented individual and group clinical supervision to licensed therapists and student interns in the OMHC program Review and sign treatment plans, ensuring all required signatures and documentation are in order Conduct therapist orientations alongside the Clinical Team and PRP Director Perform periodic quality reviews of medical records per program policy Hire, evaluate, and develop therapists in partnership with the Clinic Director Identify training needs and ensure clinicians receive documented professional development Respond to clinical emergencies and support therapists with crisis management Conduct office-based diagnostic assessments for clients in crisis, as needed Review discharge summaries and incident reports Compile weekly statistics and report to the Clinic Director within established timeframes Respond to subpoenas and support therapists appearing in court on behalf of the agency Be available at least one evening per week to perform essential job functions Attend programmatic meetings, trainings, and job fairs as scheduled What We're Looking For Required: Active LCSW-C licensure in Maryland (Licensed Certified Social Worker–Clinical) Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners–Approved Supervisor status Minimum 3 years of experience in a mental health setting Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience Expert working knowledge of the DSM-5-TR and clinical supervision best practices Comfort working within the Maryland Public Mental Health System (PMHS) Proficiency with EMR systems and clinical informatics You'll thrive here if you: Build trusting relationships and bring out the best in clinicians at every stage of their careers Model culturally responsive, ethical clinical practice Are organized, accessible to your team, and proactive about quality improvement Communicate clearly across clinical, administrative, and risk management contexts Core Competencies Positive Practices — Documented supervision, feedback, and adherence to best practices Respectful & Safe Program Environment — Strong working knowledge of licensing, safety, and reporting requirements Professional Growth & Development — Coaching clinicians toward independence and clinical excellence Leadership — Cultivating a collaborative team culture and shared values Advocacy — Supporting clinicians as they advocate for clients and families Cultural Competence & Adaptation — Supervision that reflects the cultures of both clinicians and the consumers we serve Practice-Based Learning & Quality Improvement — Ongoing service delivery improvement as part of a multidisciplinary team Systems-Oriented Practice — Effective navigation of organizational and Maryland PMHS systems Informatics — Confident use of EMR and technology to support service delivery Compensation & Benefits Salary: Low $80,000s Employment Type: W-2, full-time (40 hours/week) Benefits: Full benefits package Schedule: Hybrid — primarily remote with one in-office day per week; one evening per week required Team Size: Capped at 12–13 supervisees to protect supervision quality Reports To: Clinic Director Pay: $80,000.00 - $83,000.00 per year Benefits 401(k) Dental insurance Flexible schedule Retirement plan Work Location: Hybrid remote in Oxon Hill, MD 20745
