JOB DESCRIPTION: Clinical Supervisor, Substance REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: LCADC , CAC-AD-S, LCPC-S, Board Approved Supervisor from Maryland. EXEMPT/NON-EXEMPT: Exempt DEPARTMENT : Substance Abuse SALARY : Up to $100,000 Full-Time or Part Time Hourly BENEFITS : Health, Dental, Vision, PTO, 401K with 3% Match, Professional Development SUPERVISOR: Clinical Director WORK SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm Full-Time The Clinical Supervisor directs and manages an effective clinical service delivery team using applicable principles of addictions treatment, social work and/or counseling which include - consumer psychosocial assessment, group and individual psychotherapy, client/family intervention, client/family education and treatment planning. This position will provide administrative supervision to staff responsible for delivering services to individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders; will manage client services and objectives, conduct periodic auditing of client records and ensure compliance with established program standards; comar regulations and accreditation conformance. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Administrative Supervisor will work directly with the Clinical Director on program implementation, monitoring and oversight of the clinical team. Meet with Clinical Director on a weekly basis to discuss overall SA Team functioning, program enhancements, curriculum, group schedules, etc. Supports evaluation of program services to consumer outcomes and acts as a positive change agent to implement clinical initiatives to increase quality consumer care. Conducts assessment of each consumer’s psychosocial status and functioning in an effort to document history and identify preliminary items for the treatment plan for all substance abuse programs. Facilitates the overall development and implementation of a comprehensive, individualized treatment plan in conjunction with other treatment team members. Incorporates the consumer’s psychosocial functioning and strengths in the plan of care. Formulates a treatment plan with the client, using knowledge of alcohol and drug abuse risk factors and counseling and treatment techniques. Provides and/or arranges for therapeutic interventions as appropriate for consumers in a crisis situation, work with Clinical Director to implement a crisis plan. Follows up to determine reliability and validity of treatment used; makes recommendations regarding modification to services and service delivery. Maintain contact with referral sources; networking to receive consistent flow of referrals. Refers consumer to other support services as needed, such as medical evaluation and treatment, social services, and employment services, other levels of care within organization as needed. Prepares and maintains Assessment, Treatment plans, reports and case histories in EMR Participates in the review of clinical issues and program policies and procedures. Consults with other therapists and related professionals, as appropriate, in the performance of therapeutic and/or casework; refers clients to appropriate service agencies as required. Attends staff meetings and team conferences; leads weekly team meetings as required. Participates in, leads, and/or coordinates training sessions and workshops to enhance treatment skills of staff. Maintains current knowledge base on counseling issues regarding substance abuse and other psychosocial disorders through conferences, educational requirements for licensure, and applicable current literature. Complete transition plans when clients move from one level of care to the next or require more than one service to be provided simultaneously. Weekly Audits of staff documentation for all SUD programs. Complete necessary documentation for program Authorizations and re-authorizations as needed. Track Re-authorizations to completion ensuring that the Billing and Authorizations Manager has all necessary documentation needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Oversee Clinical Operations : The Clinical Supervisor will be responsible to ensure that the Substance Abuse daily operations are running within a professional and clinical capacity on a daily basis Substance Abuse Clinical Assessments: Clinical assessments must be completed daily, or as consumers enter into the agency. All documentation is required to be completed within 48-hours of the completion of the assessment interview to meet comar guidelines.
