Hours: full-time (37.5 hours per week) Location: Lynchburg VA, 24501 Compensation dependent on years of clinical experience Position Summary The Mobile Crisis Clinician (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Resident) LMHP/LMHP-E working with the community crisis response program will provide direct and treatment to individuals in the community who are experiencing an acute mental health crisis. Crisis response services are intended to help stabilize individuals within their natural environment and avert the need for psychiatric hospitalization. This position will work with both youth and adults in order to provide assessment, safety planning, crisis intervention, and care coordination. This position will also operate either in the office or in the community. Shifts include either a Sunday-Wednesday or a Wednesday-Saturday shift. Required Education and Experience Master's Degree from a program that prepares individuals to practice counseling (60-hr Master's Program), which is offered by a college or university accredited by a regional accrediting agency. (Re: 54.1-3500 of the Code of Virginia) No experience required. Experience with the adults in an outpatient setting is preferred. Related credentials: Resident in Professional Counseling, Supervisee in Clinical Social Work, Resident in Licensed Marriage, Family Therapy, Resident in Substance Abuse Treatment, or eligibility to apply for residency. Note: New hires will be expected to apply for clinical supervision and residency within 30 days of hire.
