TechServ is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Closing Technician to support our growing team of designers and engineers.This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin or grow a career in the Utilities industry.Training is provided.The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while supporting engineering operations.About Us:TechServ has been providing the highest quality consulting and engineering services to the electric utility industry since 1992.We are a rapidly growing, progressive company dedicated to hiring and developing a highly skilled, diverse, engaged workforce to meet and exceed the client needs.TechServ offers a competitive benefits package including health, vision and dental benefits, 401K, training and development opportunities, and paid time off.About the Role:The Closing Administrative Assistant provides day-to-day administrative and coordination of closing projects.This role serves as a key point of contact for internal and external communications and plays an important role in maintaining organized records, schedules, and accurate document retention to ensure smooth project conclusion.Duties and Responsibilities:o Daily Activity:o Review construction notes and verify final design documents are recorded accurately.o Compare and reconcile material lists between estimate and construction bill of materials.o Read and interpret utility maps and related documentation.o Use the client's GIS application to update or correct material or labor data and resolve errors.o Coordinate with designers, project managers, storerooms and construction coordinators regarding design changes, schedules and unreconciled materials.o Update the client on schedules and deadlines.o Communication and Coordination:o Communicate verbally and in writing with internal teams and clients in a professional manner.o Convey complex or detailed information via email or phone call in a clear and understandable manner.o Record-Keeping and Documentation:o Review and reconcile material lists.o Maintain organized records of requests, applications, and related correspondence.o Update databases or filing systems with current information.o Monitor compliance with requirements and deadlines.Required Qualifications:o High School Diploma or GED o Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks o Excellent written and verbal communication skills o Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint) o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills o Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment o Strong work ethic and reliability o Ability to work extended hours as needed o Must be eligible to work in the United States o Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Physical Requirements:o Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods throughout an 8hour workday o Must be able to work on a computer for prolonged periods o Occasionally required to lift objects up to 25 pounds o Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines and company requirements o Must be able to maintain composure and professionalism during potentially stressful situations Reports to:Project Coordinator or Project Manager.Working environment:Office-Based Job Type:Full-time, Non-Exempt Travel:Up to 20% Location:Tyler, TX Schedule:Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM; occasional overtime as needed #TS25.
