Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (AWS) Location: Washington, DC Responsibilities Manage AWS infrastructure to ensure system reliability, scalability, and security. Coordinate OS patching (Linux/RedHat) and conduct performance optimization. Implement monitoring, alerting, and capacity planning strategies. Coordinate disaster recovery (DR) and Continuity of Operations (COOP) activities. Oversee backup infrastructure coordination and enforce security hardening measures. Plan for downtime and environment management to ensure high system availability. Support cost optimization initiatives and develop automation (IaC, scripts) where applicable. Requirements 10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure with a Bachelor’s degree. Proficiency in AWS services including EC2, VPC, S3, and CloudWatch. Experience with infrastructure monitoring, networking, security, and OS patching (Linux/RedHat). Knowledge of disaster recovery and COOP planning. Desired: AWS Solutions Architect certification.
