The Cloud Software Developer is a key role in an Agile development team engaged in the modernization of enterprise-class software applications. The developer will work in coordination with team members, fellow Agile units, and other stakeholders to build, migrate, expand, automate, and sustain a large, multi-tenant cloud platform/enterprise. They will leverage their experience in cloud software development to support the development of an exciting new solution. You will play a crucial role via the following: Designs, architects, deploys and maintains cloud solutions Maintains the integrity and security of systems Supports and develops automation Develops in languages such as Bash, Python, Node.js, and React.js Maintains/enhances knowledge of AWS cloud services Composes and maintains standard operating procedures and work instructions, knowledge articles, et al WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED: Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Cloud Software Developer must have: Education: Technical Training, Certificate, or Degree required Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Computer Engineering or relevant experience Experience: 7+ years of total IT experience with 5+ years of related experience with AWS cloud computing required Required Skills: Proficiency in the following languages: Bash, Python, Node.js, and React.js Understanding of RESTful APIs and event-driven architecture Linux OS experience Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including UI/UX designers, product managers, and other developers) to deliver high-quality solutions Design and implement data processing and integration solutions using ETL tools Experience with application using serverless architecture and/or containerization Excellent communication skills with demonstrated experience delivering presentations to diverse audiences at various levels of an organization Security Clearance Level: Must be able to pass a background check to obtain a position of Public Trust.
