CMM Programmer / Inspector Job Description In this position the CMM Program Engineer/ Inspector is responsible for creating CMM inspection programs from customer drawings, blueprints, and CAD models.The CMM Programmer also acts as lead inspector, carrying out first article, in-process, and final inspections as well as answering other inspector's questions and giving guidance.Responsibilities Create, organize, and control CMM inspection programs Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures Complete first piece and first article inspections Continuously improve older programs Install programs on multiple CMM's Regular attendance is an essential function of this position as unscheduled absences would create undue hardship to the business in its effect on maintaining production numbers.Other duties as assigned Skills and Abilities Great attention to detail Good problem-solving skills Good at organizing, planning, and prioritizing Excellent computer abilities Communicates well with others Present information and give feedback Education/Training Experience programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines Working knowledge of ISO9001 & AS9100 Quality Management Systems Working knowledge of GD&T High School Diploma or GED First shift hours:Monday-Thursday 7:00am - 5:30 pm and Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm 48-53 hours per week.Benefit Conditions:Waiting period may apply Only full-time employees eligible Work Remotely No Job Type:Full-time Pay:From $28.00 per hour Benefits:401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location:In person.
