Varian Medical Systems, a Siemens Healthineers company is seeking a CMM Quality Inspector for our San Jose, CA facility. In this position you are expected to perform your assignments independently by applying Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in all areas of responsibility to ensure our customers receive the highest possible quality products. This position is responsible for performing visual, dimensional, mechanical, and optical inspections based on engineering drawings, internal and external specifications, quality assurance standards, and test procedures to determine acceptance of product and conformance to blueprints, production illustrations, engineering drawings, and specifications. You will perform all assigned duties and conduct business in a professional manner. This is a 2nd shift position - M-F 1:30-10pm onsite in San Jose, CA What You Will Do Utilize knowledge of mechanical systems, critical thinking skills, and proficiency with basic to complex inspection measurement equipment including microscopes, optical comparator and coordinate measurement equipment to set up and verify dimensions and geometric tolerances for compliance. Leverage critical thinking skills, and proficiency with basic to complex inspection measurements. Program Calypso software for Zeiss CMM machinery Perform First Article, dimensional reports and Q-Notes. Manage priorities and workflow in a rapidly changing environment. Use computer software to document quality records. Work with minimal supervision. Interact effectively with team members, Purchasing, Receiving, Engineering, R & D, Planning and Production groups to resolve issues. Suggest areas of process improvement. Mentor and provide training to inspectors as needed. What You Will Have Associate degree or 5+ year's equivalent experience required. Understanding of GD&T preferred or relative experience required. Automated equipment (CMM, Vision Systems) operation experience required, programing experience required. Ability to work Independently and efficiently. Good written and verbal communication. Good organizational skills. The Base Pay Range For This Position Is $81,220 - $111,672 Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
