Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician, based in Richardson, TX. The CMT Technician will perform field and laboratory testing of construction materials such as soil, concrete, and asphalt to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards. Responsibilities include preparing test samples, recording and reporting data accurately, using testing equipment, and interacting with project managers to provide updates on testing outcomes. The role also involves maintaining equipment, ensuring safety protocols, and assisting with site inspections as necessary. Qualifications Proficiency in soil, concrete, and asphalt testing; knowledge of testing standards and procedures Experience with field and laboratory equipment operation and sample preparation Strong data recording and report preparation skills Basic understanding of geotechnical engineering principles and materials testing Effective communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with project managers and on-site personnel Ability to work on-site, perform fieldwork, and follow safety protocols Relevant certifications such as ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician, or willingness to obtain certifications Valid driver’s license and a reliable means of transportation Previous experience in construction materials testing or related fields is a plus High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or higher in a related field is advantageous
