Bureau: School Health and Support / School Health Services Full-time and Part-time County Contractual Open to all qualified candidates. Location: 791 Aquahart Road, 3rd Floor, Glen Burnie, MD 21061 Hours: Varies between schools Salary: $23.09 per hour Annual Budgeted Amount: $29,866.92 Benefits: Benefits include health dental, vision and pharmacy coverage. 10-month position, summers off; no shift work; and paid leave days. Job Description Nature of Work: Under the supervision of the School Health Nurse, this position manages the activities of the school health room. Duties include first aid and administration of medication as delegated by the school nurse. Responsibilities may include a variety of health tasks and clerical work in assisting students with health-related needs. Involves lifting, positioning, transferring and aiding in bodily functions as needed. Education Minimum Qualifications Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. License Or Certification Must possess a current Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON) Nursing Assistant Certificate or Geriatric Nursing Certification. Must successfully complete the MBON-approved School Health Certified Medication Technician training programs provided by the Anne Arundel County Department of Health. Driver’s License required.
