CNC Beam Welder Operator

We are a Pre engineered metal building and steel fabrication shop specializing in pre-engineered metal buildings and structural steel. We run automated welding equipment to produce structural members at volume — rafters, columns, and beams. We're hiring an experienced welder ready to transition into machine operation. Full training provided on our equipment. We need solid welding fundamentals and the mechanical aptitude to run a precision machine. What You'll Do Operate automated pull-through welding system on structural steel members Set up and adjust machine parameters — travel speed, wire feed, voltage Load, align, and feed steel members through the welding line Monitor and inspect weld quality against shop drawings and AWS D1.1 standards Perform consumable changeovers and routine machine maintenance Identify and report equipment issues or quality deviations Coordinate with fitters and shop leads to meet production targets What We're Looking For Experienced welder — FCAW, GMAW, or SAW background preferred Ability to read weld symbols and structural shop drawings Mechanical aptitude — comfortable around automated equipment Detail-oriented, reliable, and a team player AWS D1.1 certification a plus, not required Prior structural steel or PEMB shop experience a plus, not required What We Offer Full training on automated welding equipment — no prior machine experience needed Day shift, Monday through Friday Stable shop with consistent work Competitive pay based on experience Growth opportunity into senior operator or lead role Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour Work Location: In person
