CNC Lathe Setup & Programmer

Job Roles And Responsibilities Set up CNC lathe machines including tooling, fixtures, and program adjustments Program CNC lathes based on part specifications Read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T requirements Operate CNC machines and monitor processes for quality and efficiency Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances Perform routine maintenance and adjust machine settings as needed Collaborate with team members to improve processes and optimize setups Ensure compliance with quality standards and manufacturing procedures Utilize hand tools, power tools, and related equipment safely Qualifications And Certifications Minimum of 2 years of CNC lathe setup and programming experience Strong knowledge of CNC controls and machining processes Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T specifications Experience with precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of tooling and machining Basic math skills for calculating dimensions and tolerances Experience with advanced materials such as titanium and superalloys preferred Manual machining experience preferred High school diploma or equivalent required Benefits Retirement plan Employer matching contribution Health insurance Paid time off Flexible work schedule
