CNC Machinist

Axis Precision Machine is a growing precision machining job shop in Rockford, IL serving customers in aerospace, defense, and industrial markets. We're a younger company building something, and we're looking for people who want to grow with us. What You'll Do Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T Perform in-process inspection using standard measuring equipment (calipers, mics, gauges) Maintain tight tolerances on a variety of materials and part types Work efficiently in a job shop environment with mixed lot sizes What We're Looking For CNC machining experience preferred; willing to train the right candidate Ability to read blueprints and work to close tolerances Attention to detail and a quality-first mindset Reliable and self-motivated — we're a small team and everyone counts Room to Grow If you're an operator looking to move into setup, or a setup machinist ready to get into programming, we want to talk.
