Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, including lathes and milling machines, to produce precision components that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will drive efficiency and excellence in our production processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining technology and contribute to innovative manufacturing solutions. Duties Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC milling machines and CNC lathes, primarily utilizing Fanuc controls. Develop and modify CNC programs using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to optimize machining operations. Interpret detailed blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications, and technical drawings to ensure accurate manufacturing. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify part dimensions. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper tooling setup and tool changes with hand tools and tooling equipment. Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot mechanical or electrical issues promptly. Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying process improvements and reducing waste. Experience Proven experience operating CNC milling machines and CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code. Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software like SolidWorks or similar for interpreting complex designs. Hands-on experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes is a plus. Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of machining principles, tooling selection, and assembly techniques. Ability to read blueprints accurately and apply GD&T standards effectively. Basic math skills for calculations related to measurements, tolerances, and machining parameters. Knowledge of plastics injection molding processes is advantageous but not required. Join us if you’re passionate about precision machining, eager to work with cutting-edge technology, and ready to contribute your expertise to a fast-paced manufacturing environment!
