Job DescriptionJob DescriptionHiFyve is hiring a CNC Machinist in the Manufacturing industry in Lee’s Summit, MO! Salary: $25.00 - $30.00+ per hour (based on experience) + $2.25/hour shift differential Shift: 2nd Shift (3:00pm–11:30pm), Monday–Friday with overtime as needed Location: Lee’s Summit, MO Job Duties and Responsibilities Set up, adjust, and operate CNC machines (3, 4, and 5 Axis) to perform precision machining operations. Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials onto machines. Monitor machine feeds and speeds during machining to ensure accuracy. Perform CNC machine setup including fixture setup and tool changes. Load tools, verify offsets, and ensure proper tool performance. Measure, examine, and test completed parts using precision instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.) to verify conformance to specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions. Document work performed through required paperwork and records. Perform minor mechanical and assembly tasks as needed. Collaborate with team members and share expertise within the machine shop. Maintain safety standards and protect machines from potential damage. Follow all safety policies and procedures consistently. Perform other duties as assigned by leadership. Education Requirements High School Diploma or GED required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Minimum of 5–10 years of CNC machining experience with strong knowledge of machining operations and tolerances Strong understanding of basic math and geometric tolerances Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering plans, and work instructions Forklift and crane operation skills (with ability to safely operate equipment) Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs Preferred: MasterCam knowledge, GD&T and CMM inspection methods Preferred: Familiarity with SPC, Lean Manufacturing, and process improvement practices
