The site supports highly sophisticated medical device manufacturing programs and is fully ISO 13485-certified for medical device quality and regulatory compliance. This facility operates more than 50 elite Tornos Swiss CNC machines, many valued at over $1.5 million per machine, supporting highly complex precision manufacturing programs for the medical device industry. This is a highly specialized technical leadership opportunity focused on: Swiss CNC machine troubleshooting equipment reliability preventative maintenance strategy uptime optimization advanced machine repair operational support for complex medtech manufacturing The ideal individual will eventually grow into a Maintenance Manager or Director-level leadership role within approximately 1-2 years. Position Overview This individual will become the technical backbone of our Swiss machining operation in Plainview. The company is seeking someone who truly understands advanced Swiss CNC platforms and can serve as the “go-to expert” on the floor for machine troubleshooting, repair, optimization and long-term operational reliability. The position will work directly with: Tornos Swiss machines maintenance technicians manufacturing leadership engineering teams production operations to ensure maximum uptime, machining precision and manufacturing efficiency. Swiss CNC Equipment Environment The Plainview facility currently operates a large fleet of advanced Tornos Swiss CNC platforms, including: Tornos Deco 10 Tornos Deco 13 Tornos Deco 13a Tornos Deco 20 Tornos Deco 20a Tornos Deco 26 Tornos Deco 26a Tornos Deco 26a PTO EvoDeco 16 V1/V2 EvoDeco 16/10 EvoDeco 20 EvoDeco 21 This is considered one of the most sophisticated Tornos environments in North America. Ideal Background Our client is specifically targeting individuals with hands-on Swiss CNC machining expertise, particularly candidates coming from: Swiss CNC maintenance environments Tornos field service organizations Applications engineering groups Precision machining operations CNC equipment OEMs Highly regulated manufacturing industries Strong consideration will be given to candidates coming from companies such as: Tornos Citizen Star CNC Tsugami Miyano Other high-end Swiss machining OEMs or service organizations Candidates with backgrounds in: Medical Device Aerospace Automotive Precision Manufacturing will all be considered if they possess strong Swiss machining expertise. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot, repair and maintain advanced Tornos Swiss CNC machines Develop and improve preventative maintenance programs Reduce equipment downtime and improve operational reliability Support process optimization initiatives throughout the machining operation Coordinate machine repairs, upgrades and maintenance schedules Support maintenance staff development and technical training Ensure compliance with ISO 1348
