The successful candidate will serve as the external face of the organization, engaging with the community, and representing the mission to dismantle barriers to reentry and advance policies that expand opportunity and restore rights for justice-impacted individuals. This role is pivotal in building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, partners, and the public, and will work closely with the current Co-ED to ensure the organization's legal services and operations are in alignment with its strategic goals. The ideal Co-ED will have a deep understanding of the criminal legal system and its impact on individuals and communities. Responsibilities include strategic planning, fundraising, and advocacy, as well as overseeing the implementation of programs and initiatives. The role requires a passionate and dedicated individual who can effectively communicate the organization's vision and values, and who is committed to social justice and equity. A background in community organizing, policy development, or a related field is essential, and experience in a leadership role within a non-profit or similar setting is highly valued.
