Must be available for training M-F 8:00am-4:30pm for the first 2 weeks. Contract Duration: 13 weeks Role Type: Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) coder / Medical coder / DRG coder Required & Preferred Qualifications Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital inpatient coding required - experience in Tennessee or other U.S. hospitals preferred 1-2 years of inpatient rehab coding experience preferred IRF PAI coding experience required (assigning etiologic diagnosis, complications, comorbids, and interruption of stay diagnoses) ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS expertise; MS-DRG / APR-DRG knowledge and POA assignment experience High School diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management (HIM) / Health Information Technology (HIT) preferred RHIT, RHIA, or CCS certification preferred (Certified Coding Specialist) Proficiency with electronic health records (EHRs) and strong technical skills in Microsoft Office Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills for physician queri
