As a Collective Staff Trainer, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the Mission Command Training Center, Fort Hood, TX. You will play a crucial role as a Training Specialist Advisor. You will help ensure that today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on a Collective Staff Trainer joining our team to act as a recognized technical expert in the base labor category description and functions as the highest-level individual contributor in at least one warfighting function (WfF). MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT: Lead, manage, and support by developing, organizing, and conducting training and educational programs for customer personnel. Apply best practices in staff training, meet industry requirements, and provide technical and training solutions tailored to Army mission command training. Collaborate with: Plans, coordinate, and execute unit collective training at echelons ranging from Battalion to Corps. Assists unit leadership in planning collective training that will meet their training objectives; identifies any gaps (resource, training, equipment, etc.) and works with the management team to ensure they are filled before execution of training. Drive: Gathers observations based on unit actions during the training event and provides input to unit After Action Reviews (AARs). Maintains a comprehensive repository of relevant TTPs. Utilize: Apply a high level of technical and industry experience in your specialized skill set or warfighting function. Regularly update knowledge on training methodology and technology trends. Serve as a mentor or observer/trainer as required to support team and trainee development. WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED: Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science required Experience: 10+ years of related experience Required Technical Skills: o Advanced knowledge and ability to train individuals in the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) and command post operations. o Experience in operations, planning, and training requirements at a battalion and higher level (Division or Corps) and have a background in training management. o Thorough understanding of Sustainment and C2 and their inter-dependencies with the other warfighting functions. o Successfully served as a former battalion S3, XO, or SPO in a Sustainment unit. Preferred Skills: o Serve in any of the following positions: Sustainment Battalion Commander • Combat Training Center (CTC) Observer/Controller • Small Group Instructor • SAMS or lead planner • Primary or deputy general staff officer. o Possesses outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to correspond and communicate with senior military leaders. o OIF/OND/OEF experience. o Working knowledge of scenario development Security Clearance: SECRET clearance required to start Location: On Customer Site Role Requirements: Able to travel up to 10% of the time, or deploy to a field location as required
