College Aide (Talent Management) DEPT OF HEALTH/MENTAL HYGIENE Posted On: 05/09/2026 Part-Time Location NYC-ALL BOROS No Exam Required Department OCME - Human Resources Salary Range $17.50 – $21.90 Save Job Description The Office of Chief Medical Examiner investigates cases of persons who die within New York City from criminal violence, by accident, by suicide, suddenly when in apparent health, when unattended by a physician, in a correctional facility or in any suspicious or unusual manner or where an application is made pursuant to law for a permit to cremate a body of a person. The ideal candidate will assist with key HR Talent Management activities while gaining valuable experience in the field. Responsibilities include: Collaborate with the Talent Management team to create and post job listings on EHIRE, ensuring that opportunities are accurately advertised in a timely manner. Assist in coordinating interview schedules, managing logistical arrangements to ensure seamless recruitment experience. Maintain accurate records within OCME-DNA, prioritizing data integrity and confidentiality. Collect data and develop engaging PowerPoint presentations and surveys focused on recruitment initiatives. Access secure and confidential systems while upholding strict privacy and security protocols. Assist the Talent Management team with tracking, recordkeeping and retention of data. Prepare job offers, release letters, and other necessary correspondence to facilitate HR operations. Help create and organize new hire orientation folders and employee files, ensuring completeness and orderliness. Collaborate with recruiters to plan and execute recruiting events, effectively promoting employment opportunities within the organization. Perform additional tasks assigned to contribute to the overall efficiency of the HR team. SPECIAL NOTE: Selected candidates will be required to provide a DNA sample by swabbing. Employment is conditioned upon continuance as a student in a college or graduate school with a specific course of study in information technology, computer science, management information systems, data processing, or closely related field, including or supplemented by 9 semester credits in an acceptable course of study. For Assignment Level III (Information Technology Fellow): Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school. Employment is conditioned upon continuance as a student in a college or graduate school with a specific course of study in information technology, computer science, management information systems, data processing, or other area relevant to the information technology project(s) assigned, including or supplemented by 9 semester credits in an acceptable course of study.
