Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary: $80,000-$100,000 Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-orientedCommercial & Architectural Roofing Estimator to support our operations in the Central Illinois market. This position is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for commercial and architectural roofing projects, reviewing plans and specifications, and collaborating with the sales and operations teams to ensure successful project bidding and execution. The ideal candidate has strong experience with commercial roofing systems, architectural roofing assemblies, and the ability to analyze drawings, specifications, and field conditions to produce competitive and accurate bids. Key Responsibilities Perform site visits along side sales rep as needed in Central Illinois. Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals forcommercial and architectural roofing projects. Reviewproject drawings, specifications, and bid documentsto determine scope and requirements. Performmaterial takeoffs and quantity calculationsusing estimating software and construction plans. Perform cost estimates and site visits with sales representatives as neededto assess project conditions and support bid development. Communicate with vendors and suppliers to obtain accuratematerial pricing and availability. Coordinate with thesales, project management, and operations teamsto clarify scope and ensure complete bids. Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs to produce competitive estimates. Identify project risks, scope gaps, and potential value engineering opportunities. Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and bid documentation. Participate in pre-bid meetings and provide technical support during the bidding process. Qualifications 3+ years of experience incommercial roofing estimatingor related construction estimating. Strong knowledge ofcommercial and architectural roofing systems(TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, metal, architectural systems, etc.). Ability to read and interpretconstruction drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Experience with estimating and takeoff software (such asEdge, Acculynx, Bluebeam, or similar tools). Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously. Valid driver's license and ability to travel toSt. Louis area job sites when needed. Preferred Qualifications Experience estimatinglarge-scale commercial roofing or architectural roofing projects. Familiarity withmanufacturer specifications and roofing system assemblies. Experience working withgeneral contractors and commercial bid platforms.
