NOW HIRING: Commercial Cleaning Specialist (Emergency Hazardous Material Response) Location: Concord/ Surrounding Area | Schedule: ON CALL ONLY How the job works: This company responds to industrial spills of chemicals, when a spill occurs, they call us to clean it up. I reach out to you to see if you are available to come to assist with the job. If you are available, you come in and work. This is not an opportunity with set hours. You should already have a main source of income. This is extra side money. Emergency Response means there is no telling when a spill will happen, Therefor is no telling when jobs will become available. What You’ll Do: Arrive to the designated pick up point (Everyone rides in the same vehicle) Set up equipment, materials, tools & gear for the cleanup. Wear protective gear such as gloves, suits, boots, face/ respiratory protection Follow supervisors outline on how to clean up the spill Decontaminate & Clean all tools and equipment after job What We’re Looking For: Organized, punctual, and cool under pressure Those who take pride in their work, do not take short cuts Able to work in extreme heat, and extreme cold weather Comfortable with doing manual labor outside Great communication and attention to detail Must be 18+ with reliable transportation Students, ride share drivers, part time workers, gig workers Someone who doesn't mind getting dirty What We’re NOT Looking For: Someone who already works a 9-5 job. Someone looking for a set schedule. Someone looking for a main source of income. Someone who is not capable of working a high intense labor job. Someone who has never succeeded in blue collar work PAY BREAKDOWN: EVERYONE STARTS AT $20.00/ hour After approx 20 hours of field training, you will be evaluated to determine if you are capable of doing the job. If you are, you will begin the classroom instruction to become a certified Hazardous Material Technician (OSHA 40/ HAZWOPER) . Once completed you will receive a $5 pay increase. $25.00/ hour, after learning the basics and becoming certified. You will learn different protocols. Tactics, safety, paperwork.. etc. Of how we do business. After 20-40 hours of additional training. You will be evaluated to determine if you can operate without direct supervision. If you possess the required safety knowledge you will receive another $5 pay increase. $30.00/ hour. After you have proved yourself capable of working without supervision. You can begin learning supervisory duties. Like communicating with customers, brokers, and other officials. Report writing, documentation.. etc. If you determine that you want to pursue a leadership position. We will allow you to act as a supervisor in training. Running jobs on your own (with direct supervision). As a Supervisor in training, you will receive another $5 pay increase. $35.00/ hour. As you work on learning how to run your own group of technicians, and you show that you are willing to take safety seriously, and meet the company standards. You can become a Supervisor (no supervision). Usually taking approx 60-100 hours of supervisor training to be comfortable enough to work without supervision. No hazmat experience needed.
