Position Title: CARE Contract Manager Location: Davidson, NC (Hybrid) Job Summary: As a key member of Ingersoll Rand’s North America Commercial team, the Contract Manager plays a highly visible role in supporting the direct channel’s growth of recurring service revenue, including expansion of the CARE service agreement portfolio—one of the company’s most important recurring revenue engines. This position involves making complex business decisions related to long-term risk assessment and profitability, while also providing guidance to Sales, senior leadership, and channel partners on contract management and policy compliance. Expertise in contract negotiation is critical to success in this role, as this is a strategic commercial position where you will directly influence how long-term service agreements are structured, negotiated, approved, and ultimately won. You will help drive business growth through close partnership with Sales, Finance, Legal, Operations, and channel leadership, actively conducting contract negotiations and managing end-to-end contracting activities. This includes navigating complex customer issues and commercial dynamics to advance agreements through to successful execution. With the ability to balance speed, risk, customer needs, and business objectives, you will have a direct impact on revenue growth, customer retention, and overall commercial performance. One of the team’s most important measures of success is “time-to-win/time-to-close,” making your ability to manage communication, align stakeholders, and advance negotiations critical to business outcomes. This role requires frequent interaction with customers, Sales teams, channel leaders, and senior leadership across the organization, including VP-level stakeholders. Given the visibility and enterprise-wide impact tied to recurring revenue growth, this position offers significant exposure across the business and is well-suited for someone who thrives in cross-functional collaboration, complex commercial problem solving, executive engagement, and driving measurable business impact. Responsibilities: Demonstrate strong business acumen, analytical capability, proven leadership, and interpersonal skills in a collaborative, fast-moving, deadline-driven environment. Lead contract negotiations and develop/implement contracting strategies, supported by thorough knowledge of contract formation, negotiation, and administration, while contributing to business and contracting policy improvements. Partner effectively with sales professionals and sales management on strategies for large or complex sales opportunities. Maintain regular direct interaction with customers to resolve issues, strengthen relationships, and support successful contract execution. Create and deliver clear, compelling communications that motivate North America sales teams while communicating professionally and prioritizing effectively across competing demands. Develop and maintain knowledge management materials, sales tools, and calculators that support sales effectiveness, pricing, and contract decision-making. Provide direction and content for sales and marketing collateral to support commercial initiatives and channel engagement. Identify performance gaps within channel teams and lead effective countermeasures, including delivering engaging training programs that strengthen channel sales capabilities. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, or related field 5+ years of business experience with a dedicated focus on contract negotiations Core Competencies: Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills. Clear, effective communicator with strong presentation abilities. Proven project management capability. Organized and adaptable, able to manage multiple time sensitive tasks. Solid business acumen CRM proficiency, preferably Salesforce Strong selling skills Effective collaborator with the ability to influence and drive results in team environments. Preferences: Paralegal certification Compressed air industry experience
