Role Purpose The Commercial Domain Architect is the senior architecture leader accountable for translating commercial strategy into coherent, executable technology outcomes that deliver measurable in-year savings, enable year-on-year simplification, and establish a scalable target-state architecture across the end-to-end Commercial value stream, including Service and repair delivery. This role ensures enterprise-standard platforms—most notably Salesforce—are fully leveraged to reduce fragmentation, lower operating cost, and improve performance across upstream commercial planning, go-to-market execution, sales enablement, service and repair operations, martech and downstream customer engagement. Outcomes That Define Success · Quantifiable in-year and recurring cost savings across the Commercial and Service and Repair technology portfolio · Approved multi-year simplification and modernization roadmaps with clear savings targets · Reduced architectural complexity and elimination of redundant Commercial and Service tools · Increased enterprise leverage of Salesforce and strategic Commercial platforms · Improved decision quality, speed, and confidence for Commercial and Service technology investments Core Responsibilities Strategy Realization: Commercial & Service and Repair Architecture · Partner with Commercial and Global Service and Repair leadership to translate growth, service, and margin strategies into target operating models and capability roadmaps · Lead target-state architecture across portfolio planning, pricing, demand shaping, and service delivery models · Ensure alignment across sales execution, enablement, customer support, service operations, and martech · Develop sequenced, value-backed roadmaps that deliver in-year savings and sustained cost reduction Solution Architecture Leadership · Provide architectural leadership for major Commercial and Service and Repair initiatives and investment proposals · Own architectural alignment around Salesforce as the primary enterprise platform for Commercial and Service workflows · Guide solution design across Salesforce, MarTech, SAP Hybris, Aprimo, Allego, and supporting Commercial and Service systems · Ensure solutions align with enterprise data, integration, security, and platform standards Portfolio Simplification and Savings Delivery · Continuously assess the Commercial and Service and Repair application landscape to identify consolidation, rationalization, and retirement opportunities · Partner with Finance, Commercial, Marketing and Service leaders to quantify savings and track value realization · Drive reduction of duplicate sales, marketing, enablement, and service tools through platform reuse · Embed simplification, scalability, and cost reduction into all Commercial and Service architecture decisions Governance and Decision Enablement · Represent Commercial and Service and Repair architecture within enterprise governance and technology assessment forums · Ensure Salesforce and approved enterprise platforms are evaluated and leveraged first · Enable consistent architectural decision-making without slowing commercial execution or service delivery Executive Relationships The Commercial Domain Architect serves as a trusted advisor to Commercial and Service and Repair executive leadership, IT delivery and platform leaders, Enterprise Architecture, and Finance partners. Qualifications and Experience · Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience · 12+ years in solution or domain architecture roles supporting Commercial and/or Global Service functions · Deep expertise in Salesforce and enterprise Commercial and Service technology ecosystems · Proven track record delivering portfolio simplification and measurable cost savings · Strong executive communication and stakeholder influence skills Leadership Profile · Enterprise-first, outcome-driven mindset · Strong commercial and service operations acumen · Pragmatic systems thinker who balances speed, cost, and scalability · Trusted partner who challenges constructively and drives cross-functional alignment
