Overview Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across various routes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a range of specialized trucks, including dry van and reefer trailers. Your expertise in driving, load & unload procedures, and route management will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities Safely operate a variety of commercial trucks such as tractor-trailers, dry vans, reefer trailers and roll-off trucks to transport freight across designated routes. Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment like forklifts when necessary. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with transportation regulations. Manage route driving responsibilities with precision, adhering to schedules and traffic laws to ensure on-time deliveries. Secure freight properly for transit, especially when handling specialized loads like refrigerated goods or tanker liquids. Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, load manifests, inspection reports, and delivery logs. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery statuses, or any issues encountered during transit. Qualifications Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record. Experience operating manual transmission trucks is preferred. Proven truck driving experience with knowledge of freight handling and load securing techniques. Ability to load & unload cargo safely using equipment such as forklifts or other loading devices. Strong understanding of route planning and delivery schedules.
