Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Commercial Electrical Estimator/Project Manager to join our team. This pivotal role combines the expertise of electrical estimating with the leadership of project management, ensuring the successful execution of commercial electrical projects from inception to completion. Responsibilities Prepare comprehensive electrical estimates for commercial projects utilizing inhouse estimating systems. Review project plans, specifications, and contracts to develop detailed scope of work and cost proposals aligned with client needs and company standards. Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to secure favorable pricing, terms, and contracts that maximize project profitability. Manage all aspects of project execution including scheduling, cost control, quality assurance, and safety compliance on construction sites. Oversee procurement processes by sourcing materials, equipment, and services while maintaining budget targets and delivery timelines. Coordinate with design teams, clients, and internal stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment throughout project phases. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays early on, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track. Skills Extensive electrical experience combined with strong construction site knowledge to interpret technical drawings and specifications effectively. Proficiency in construction estimating tools such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam for accurate bid preparation and project documentation. Solid understanding of NEC (National Electrical Code) standards to ensure compliance across all projects. Expertise in negotiation techniques to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms. Proven ability in project management practices including scheduling, cost control, contract administration, and team coordination. Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams efficiently. Familiarity with construction management principles and experience overseeing multiple projects simultaneously for successful delivery.
