Job SummaryJoin our dynamic team as a Communications Agent - Full Time, where you will be the vital link in ensuring seamless communication and coordination across emergency services, law enforcement, and community partners.In this energetic role, you'll handle incoming calls, dispatch resources efficiently, and provide critical support during emergencies.Your expertise will help maintain safety, deliver accurate information, and facilitate swift responses to diverse situations.This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working in a fast-paced environment that values proactive communication and problem-solving skills.Responsibilities Answer multi-line phone systems with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and clear communication skills.Perform phone triage by assessing caller needs quickly and accurately, providing appropriate guidance or dispatching emergency services as required.Utilize GPS and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools to determine precise locations for dispatching law enforcement, medical teams, or other emergency responders.Dispatch emergency units efficiently by analyzing incoming information, prioritizing cases, and coordinating resources using established protocols.Maintain detailed data entry records of all calls, dispatches, and incident reports with accuracy and speed through typing and transcription skills.Manage conflict situations with tact and negotiation skills to de-escalate tense interactions while ensuring safety for all parties involved.Conduct ongoing analysis of call patterns and response times to optimize operational efficiency and improve service delivery.Requirements Proven EMT experience or background in emergency medical services is highly desirable.Familiarity with GIS mapping systems, GPS technology, and law enforcement procedures enhances your ability to perform effectively in this role.Experience with phone triage, dispatching protocols, and first aid procedures is preferred.Strong understanding of medical terminology, security principles, and conflict management techniques ensures accurate communication during crises.Excellent communication skills--both verbal and written--are essential for clear interactions with callers and responders.Ability to type quickly and accurately; experience with transcription and data entry is advantageous.Competency in handling multi-line phone systems while maintaining professionalism under pressure is required.Demonstrated analysis skills to evaluate situations rapidly; ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a high-stakes environment.This energetic role invites motivated individuals who thrive on making a difference through precise communication, swift decision-making, and dedicated service.If you are passionate about public safety and possess the necessary skills to excel as a Communications Agent - FT, we encourage you to apply!
