About the Role The Community Engagement Coordinator will support the development and implementation of comprehensive volunteer mentor (Big) recruitment strategies, foster and maintain intentional, like-minded community partnerships, and provide best-in-class volunteer service to support our mission. This position is responsible for maintaining an organized volunteer pipeline, delivering high-quality front-line customer service to prospective volunteers, and guiding them through the early stages of the enrollment process. In this role, you will support agency-wide strategic priorities by assisting with increasing the volume and strengthening the diversity of volunteer mentor (Big) inquiries. The Community Engagement Coordinator will cultivate and maintain relationships while identifying opportunities therein to support recruitment objectives. Core Accountabilities: Build and maintain a strong, diverse pipeline of prospective volunteer mentors (Bigs) aligned to recruitment goals Deliver high-quality, timely engagement and follow-through with prospective and returning volunteers Guide individuals through early enrollment steps, including information sessions, application completion, and re-engagement Plan and facilitate volunteer information sessions across priority geographies and audiences Cultivate and maintain community partnerships that support volunteer recruitment and engagement Represent the organization at community events and outreach opportunities to generate interest and drive inquiries Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and effectively manage volunteer pipeline data Identify and act on opportunities to improve outreach, engagement, and recruitment outcomes Day to Day: Support the implementation of tactics to deliver on volunteer recruitment objectives Aid and advance the BBBSMT mission by developing a robust volunteer mentor pipeline that represents the gender, racial/ethnic, sexual orientation, and cultural diversity of our mentee (Little) community, as well as all BBBSMT service areas, including Davidson, Dickson, Rutherford, Williamson, Wilson, Robertson, Cheatam, and Sumner counties Ensures high-quality customer-focused contact with individuals who seek to understand opportunities to connect with the agency. This includes potential volunteers who may need follow-up to complete their info session and application, as well as re-engaging alumni Bigs and Littles post closure. Conduct a minimum of two open info sessions per month, with most occurring in the BBBSMT office and increasing occurrence of open info sessions in outlying counties. Facilitate any other info sessions with corporate or community partners as assigned. Maintains up-to-date and accurate records for all participants according to agency standards. Identify and attend various engagement/networking events to build interest in the BBBSMT program by sharing program options and agency engagement opportunities Spearhead identification, stewardship, and cultivation of representatives and organizations within colleges and universities in the agency service area (Belmont, Lipscomb, Trevecca, Fisk, TSU, Vandy, MTSU); manage corresponding database systems and update volunteer opportunities as indicated Serve as the Recruitment Team’s representative for BIG Graduation and collaborate across departments to execute the annual event Participate in professional training as provided by the agency and the National office to achieve maximum development of professional skills when required This r
